Handknotted in alpaca and New Zealand wool, the Loess Pearl Rug features fibres that bloom in long, undulating waves across a flatwoven surface. The asymmetrically cut pile creates a plush, tactile finish that highlights the organic richness of material, while the natural tonal variation imparts a dusted, mineral softness that enhances its dense—yet airy—look and feel.

• Construction: Handknotted Alpaca Shag
• Height: 20-22mm (outstretched), 16-18mm (resting)
• Origin: India

Features: Native to the Andes, alpacas produce a fleece prized for its sumptuous softness and gentle warmth, which brings a light and durable, cloud-like texture to rugs. New Zealand wool, cultivated in pristine traceable landscapes, is prized for its purity and strength, with long fibres that produce smooth, durable yarns and a natural whiteness that allows for clean, vivid dyeing.

Care: Trim loose fibres, don’t pull. Professional cleaning recommended. Avoid hard bristle vacuum heads.
